Organized cyber-gangs in Eastern Europe are increasingly preying on small and mid-size companies in the United States, setting off a multimillion-dollar online crime wave that has begun to worry the nation’s largest financial institutions.cyber1

A task force representing the financial industry sent out an alert Friday outlining the problem and urging its members to implement many of the precautions now used to detect consumer bank and credit card fraud.

Obama’s Transportation Department appointees love speed cameras and tolls

the subject of transportation. Now that he has taken office, Obama has a lot on his plate besides transportation issues. As such, he’s appointed to Ray LaHood as the Transportation Secretary of the United States to oversee transportation policy decisions. Only problem is, LaHood and his new number two man love speed cameras and toll roads.

LaHood’s number two man, Deputy Secretary John Porcari, will serve as the Transportation Department’s chief operating officer, overseeing day-to-day operations.
