FAQ
Loadbar XL Questions: Do we have to cut 2x4’s to be used with the Loadbar XL? "No, the 2x4’s do not have to be cut, most of the time a standard 8ft. 2x4 will work. In cases where the walls are expanded, Foam Insert." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can the Loadbar XL be installed up and down, from floor to ceiling? "The Loadbar XL was not designed to be installed up and down. The adhesive is the strongest part. Focus on having the Loadbar XL on its correct side -with the handle away from the product, the wood against the product. Many customers use the Loadbar XL for stop-offs and use them installed up and down and not for its strength." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- General: Are your products reusable? "The Logistick Products, which we manufacture in the U.S., are one way disposable devices and the adhesive is specially formulated for this product and also works one way. The Logistick product will not work once the adhesive is stripped from the wall. We do carry several other products such as vinyl air bags and the Void Guard and Void Guard XL that can be reused." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are your products recyclable? "Yes, ask your local recycling facility for details." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What’s the easiest way to remove the product without tearing up the trailer walls? Method of removal varies depending on which product is being used: When removing the Loadbar XL, Super Strap or International Strap you want to pull downward at an angle using the handle. Our Wedge systems or the Logipad have a place built in to insert a crowbar. With very little effort you pry the units free. Visit our video page for the product in question for more details. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The part will not stick to the wall, what is the problem? To prevent any problems with the adhesive, please follow the instructions. The wall must be wiped clean of any debris, dust and grease. Rubbing alcohol can be used. Remove the backing of the adhesive right before placing it on the wall to prevent anything from contaminating the adhesive while exposed. Once the parts are on the wall, the pressure from the wood (when cut and installed correctly) sets the adhesive to the trailer wall. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are your products made of recycled plastic? "In order to help the environment, all the Logistick Products are being transitioned into being made with recycled plastic. Currently the Logipad and Floor Brace are 100recycled plastic." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are you DOT certified? "We meet the DOT requirements set forth in the Federal Motor Vehicle Standard Safety bulletin." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are your products approved by the American Association of Railroads (AAR)? Our Super Wedge XL has passed the impact testing. We are currently completing documentation. The Super Wedge XL was designed and developed specifically to withstand AAR impact requirements for cartoned products. Also, our products may be used in conjunction with airbags, void fillers and other AAR approved methods for all inter-modal shipments. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Under certain conditions, we have had problems adhering your product to the sidewalls of our trailers? "We used a special two sided tape as part of our patented process of securing our products to the sidewalls of trailers and containers. This tape has been proven to successfully bond and hold under extreme conditions of both heat and cold. Although the tape holds immediately upon contact, it is designed to increase in strength over time if the sidewall is clean and dry when our product is installed. For this reason, be sure and follow all installation instructions to include wiping down the side walls and insuring that they are dry and free of dust and dirt at the time of installation." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is your company policy on product returns? "If we have made a mistake or there is a quality problem with any product we sell, we want to be the first place you call to report it. When you call, we will ask you to identify the problem and the production number on the box from which it came. We will ask you to return the entire box at our expense and at that same time, we will send out replacement products for any that are in question, again at our expense. The point is this: although we have very few quality problems we want to quickly identify it and be sure you are not further inconvenienced by our error." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Are there other situations under which you will accept a return of products? "We feel we have a superior product and, under most conditions, will allow you to try it free of charge before ordering. Because the product is so large and there is a great deal of logistics involved in simply packaging and shipping it, we do everything we can to ensure that what you get is what you want and that it is working for you. Even with all the precautions we take, there are still rare circumstances under which products will need to be returned. Note that all returns need to be authorized and approved before they are shipped and subject to a restocking fee." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What are your standard payment terms of sale? "Our standard payment terms are Net 30 days and most of our customers respond within these terms. We believe strongly in the adherence to these terms since they are part of our overall corporate objective of engaging only in deals wherein everyone wins. We provide on-time shipment of quality products and always pay our suppliers within their agreed upon terms. We expect no less from our customers. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and check or EFT transfer. " -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What if I need an emergency shipment of products after the daily cutoff time? "Our sales staff works hard with customers to help avoid this exact situation. A stock out at your site is a problem for everyone and should be avoided at all costs. Our order entry system was designed to help avoid this situation and allow for the issuance of blanket purchase orders. It schedules times for follow-up calls to confirm delivery thus serving as a reminder to you and yet allowing you to actually control the release of products in conformance with your immediate needs. If you do happen to run out and need an immediate delivery after our daily shipment cutoff time, we will still try to meet your needs. Timing sometimes makes this impossible no matter what we do, however, if we can do it, there will be an additional charge for the special handling we must do and in most cases the freight carrier (whatever method you choose) will charge a higher premium." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is your policy regarding freight charges? "Method of shipment and charges relating to freight are the responsibility of the customer. We neither want to make nor lose money on the shipment of our products. We try to schedule shipment by whatever means you request and always pass on any carrier discounts we receive on your behalf. There is a minimal charge to cover our actual costs related to the contacting of the carrier, preparation of paperwork, invoicing and payment of bills (if applicable), labeling, shrink wrapping, skids, etc. The charges for all these services are included in the invoice and show up under the title of shipping and handling. If you want the specific costs we have included for handling of your shipment, please ask your sales representative." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What is UPS consignee billing and how does it work? "A consignee (pronounced con-sin-EE) is a customer who has agreed to pay your shipping charges. For UPS, a consignee must have a UPS contract for consignee billing and you must have the consignee's approval to use this billing option. This payment method allows you to bill the charges for a specified shipment to a consignee who has agreed to pay the charges. All shipping charges are billed to the consignee's UPS account number, except charges such as declared value for carriage, additional handling, verbal delivery confirmation, and Saturday delivery. These charges are billed to your shipper UPS account number. To use this feature, the Bill Consignee payment method must be enabled for the consignee." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
