Intermodal Expo Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the Intermodal Expo??

A: The Intermodal Expo is the premier multimodal freight transportation exhibition. It has become one of the most respected trade shows in both the domestic and international arena, introducing more products and services than any other transportation or logistics conference of its kind.

In recent years, the Intermodal Association of North America co-located its Intermodal Expo with The National Industrial Transportation League’s TransComp Exhibition. This successful partnership, which brings all of the freight transportation partners together under one roof, provides the opportunity for those participating to reach a larger audience and expand their business relationships through increased networking opportunities. In addition, the Expo/TransComp offers the most attractive opportunity for exhibitors to present their products to key transportation and logistics decision makers. The Expo/TransComp also is known for its wide variety of high-quality educational sessions.

Q: Who exhibits at the Intermodal Expo?

A: Companies who market to buyers of intermodal transportation products and services exhibit at this event. Exhibiting companies include rail, motor, water carrier and intermodal marketing companies, state-of-the-art equipment manufacturers and lessors; marine terminals and port authorities; manufacturers of equipment components including: tires, brakes, and on-board devices; freight forwarders and customs brokers; information technology providers; and, industry publications.

Q: Who attends the Intermodal Expo?

A: The Intermodal Expo is held in conjunction with IANA’s Annual Membership Meeting. The meeting attracts many of the nation’s intermodal transportation decision makers and public sector policy leaders. Attendees include senior level executives from all modes of freight transportation; third party logistics providers; port authorities and terminal operators; and marketers and buyers of intermodal transportation products and services.
